Looks like our wonderful government agencies are at it again! A new and false claim from the CDC states that secondhand vapor is dangerous. When I first saw this, I actually began to laugh my ass off, considering this statement was proven false just a few weeks ago! It seems as if the CDC doesn’t pay much attention to the news or research done on these products, but yet wants to release claims that have already been debunked. Let’s take a look at what they have to say!
A study, which was published in the journal Preventing Chronic Disease earlier this week, the CDC had researchers who released the results from a US SURVEY. This survey was meant to gather public opinion about the dangers of secondhand vapor exposure for children. Again, here we go with the children argument again. The results that were obtained stated that “5.3% if adults said that secondhand vapor caused ‘no harm’, 39.9% reported ‘little harm’, 21.5% said ‘a lot of harm’, and 33.3% said they’re ‘unsure’.”
But where is the proof in this? This is literally a biased survey based upon public opinion. Since our government and mass media is trying to connect vaping and smoking, the general public have the opinion that it’s one in the same, without any real proof. On the contrary, the vaping advocates, scientists, and researchers who are actually studying the vaping industry have found no evidence of any secondhand harm from vapor. So why is the CDC trying to claim otherwise?
The next statement released by the CDC states that it’s just the smokers and vapers who believe that secondhand vapor is less harmful or harmless. Take a look at this excerpt from the study:
“Current cigarette smokers and EVP users had greater odds of reporting that exposure to secondhand EVP aerosol causes “no harm” or “little harm” or “some harm” to children compared with never cigarette smokers and never EVP users. However, scientific evidence indicates that EVP aerosol exhaled into the air potentially exposes nonusers to aerosolized nicotine and other harmful and potentially harmful substances, including heavy metals, ultrafine particulates, and volatile organic compounds.”
CALIFORNIA STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT SUGGESTS THAT SECONDHAND VAPE EXPOSURE IS MINIMAL
So, this tells me that the CDC thinks that we are just plain wrong. Well, hate to break it to you guys over at the CDC, but research came out just a few weeks ago that proved there was nothing harmful about second hand vapor. You can read all about this study by clicking here.
Why is the general public still listening to all the lies thrown at us by the mass media and the government? Have we not realized that our government is not looking out for society’s public safety? They are corrupt people that are more worried about their bank accounts than helping any of us. So, next time you think about listening and agreeing about whatever they decide to say next, do some research and find out the truth!
A study, which took place in California, is now revealing information that proves second hand vapor is harmless! The California Department of Public health has been carrying out air sampling in vape shops throughout the state in order to determine health effects of vapor exposure. This is more great news for the vaping industry, as we are built on harm-reduction!
Dr. Michael Siegel, Public Health Expert, revealed in his blog that the results from this report were obtained from a small, non-ventilated vape shop. All the employees, as well as 13 customers, were actively vaping while the sampling and air testing was taking place. The sampling was conducted under high-exposure conditions, yet showed no dangerous levels of exposure to any hazardous chemicals!
Dr. Siegel wrote:
“This study, although conducted under very high exposure conditions in a small, non-ventilated vape shop with many employees and customers vaping and clouds of vapor visible, did not document any dangerous levels of exposure to any hazardous chemical.”
The study results, which can be found here, found almost no chemicals detected. The only chemicals detected were formaldehyde, ethanol (alcohol) and isopropyl alcohol. Dr. Siegel pointed out that the level of formaldehyde detected is consistent with the levels normally found in indoor and outdoor air levels under baseline conditions (meaning it’s literally in the air, not the vapor). Nicotine exposure was essentially non-existent, and no other chemicals were even detected.
With this study coming out just a few weeks prior to the Center of Disease Control’s statement, I am honestly surprised they even made a statement saying that second hand vapor is harmful! It literally makes no sense at all! Siegel conducted a valid experiment to show the true effects of second hand vapor and found basically nothing that was even remotely harmful, so then the CDC decides to conduct a popular OPININON survey to find out their information? How does that even qualify as legitimate scientific research or form a scientific hypothesis or conclusion about the effects of vapor? This is literally just people answering a question about what they think, or what the government and the media lead them to believe. There’s no actual research to prove the CDC’s claim on this matter. It’s all lies.
If you haven’t realized yet, our government is not here to help the general public. They are here to line their pockets with money, so they will do whatever they can to keep the money flowing into their accounts. If public health and safety was really the issue at hand, they would be doing legitimate studies on these devices and finding out the same information that the UK and most scientists are, which is e-cigs are much safer than traditional tobacco!
Siegel concluded that second hand vapor poses no health risks to the general public. So, there is now evidence that proves second hand vapor is harmless, which leads to the question of why vaping is being banned in public areas? The government and FDA can keep spreading lies about vaping, but we always turn right around and prove it wrong! Keep fighting the government and protect your right to vape! Vape on!
